Data Quality Fundamentals: Key Aspects of a Data Quality Program

 Despite the current economic downturn, the demand for data-centric tools and processes has not decreased. Interest in master data management, data governance, and data quality may have been sparked by the need for greater control over organizational information, and that control begins with data quality fundamentals.

 In this talk we will review the virtuous cycle of data quality and discuss an operational model for integration of data quality techniques and tools to support the assessment of data quality, the determination of the most critical issues for remediation, the ways that tools support the process, and how those tools can be used to implement a continuous monitoring capability for measuring and reporting the levels of data quality.
